White Industries circa 1960's

White Industries was established in 1960 as a jobbing repair shop catering to the local farming community. A small part of the business produced aluminium and bronze castings for local spare parts supply companies. Since those early days the Company has grown progressively to a stage where it now occupies a 1.85 ha site with well over 6,000m2 of floor space.

Circa 1960's Producing non-ferrous castings from pit furnace.

The 1970's & 80's saw the establishment of a heavy truck manufacturing industry in Queensland. It also saw a modernization of the sugar cane harvesting and milling industry. We produced many vital components for Mack, Volvo & Leader trucks and for Austoft cane harvesters as well as Australian and overseas sugar mills during this period.

The Company Directors have continued to grow the business in many new markets and have reinvested heavily in new foundry plant to keep pace with the rapid changes in foundry technology. During the 1990s, CNC machinery was introduced to our machine shop, thus continuing to provide customers with a "One Stop Shop".
